Rohit Sharma as India captain

In the current scenario, Virat Kohli is the skipper for the Men in the blue squad in all the three formats of the game but the kind of performance Indian team has showcased against the New Zealand team in the One-day international matches and in the test matches there have been calls for the Hitman Rohit Sharma to replace Virat Kohli.

Now in Cricket, many teams have different captains to lead them in the different formats as the ICC 2019 world cup winning captain Eoin Morgan is in the charge to lead the English cricket team in only limited over cricket format and on the other hand for the longer format of the game they decided to put Joe Root as a captain, and many former Indian cricket team players and many cricket experts have backed this theory for the Indian national team as well.

As an example, we can say that the 2011 cricket world cup winner Yuvraj Singh who played the domestic cricket Indian premier league with the Mumbai Indian side under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma and also played his part for the Royal Challengers Bangalore under Virat Kohli has shown his weight on Rohti’s favor.

Yuvraj Singh is the one who thinks it is the right time for the Indian national team to think about a change as well, as there is a three format in cricket nowadays so there is an added pressure on the Indian skipper Virat Kohli as well so if any other person who leads the team in the T20 format in a better way that will be a good option for the team, by this statement Yuvraj Singh backed Rohit Sharma as Indian captain for the T20 format.

Former Indian sensational VVS Laxman was also one of the players who hailed the captaincy of Rohit Sharma in previous occasions, in the year 2018 the Hitman lead the Indian national team in the Nidahas trophy in 2018 and also in the Asia cup which impressed Laxman.

VVS Laxman got super excited when last year rohit sharma debut match played an outstanding inning against the mighty New Zealand team in the T20 series, where he hit a sumptuous sixes in the super over and lead team India to the win.

The former Indian opener Gautam Gambhir has also shown his support to the Indian vice-captain Rohit Sharma as well, in his career Gautam Gambhir lead the Kolkata Knight riders team in many occasions and won the IPL crown two times with them and he has also criticized few decisions of Virat Kohli as well.

Like these players many other former cricket players are also in the favor of Rohit Sharma to lead the Indian national team in the T20 format and while many Indian supports are also strongly agreed with that facts as he is the one who led the Mumbai Indians team to four times to the IPL glory and established himself as a great captain and has got the potential to lead team India as well in the shorter format of the game.
